Akarigbo calls for religious harmony, tolerance in Remoland

The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Adewale Ajayi, has urged all religious groups in Remoland to embrace religious harmony and peaceful co-existence.

Akarigbo stated this while hosting members of the Muslim community across Remoland, at a Ramadan lecture/Iftar with the theme “The Act of Co-Existence In The Month Of Ramadan and Thereafter” , held at the Akarigbo’s Palace, on Tuesday.

The traditional ruler, who noted that development evolves only in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, implored all adherents of different religions to respect one another beliefs.

He also charged Muslims to sustain all the lessons learnt during the Holy Month of Ramadan and not to go back to ways that do not pleases Allah.

The traditional ruler promised to hold regular interactions with all religious groups for a peaceful co-habitation.

Oba Ajayi, prayed for the country, the state and indigenes and residents of Remoland, just as he promised for a better and greater outing next Ramadan.

Delivering his lecture, Imam Mikhail Adesanya, urged the faithful to fear Allah and be good to others.

Adesanya admonished Muslims not to stop the act of doing good as observed during Ramadan.

“My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, Ramadan has an end but your good deeds towards fellow mankind, irrespective of religious inclinations must not stop. That good deeds must continue. Please let us strive to be good to our neighbours because there is a reward for our every single act whether good or bad thereafter,” he added.
