The Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday expelled the director general of the campaign organisation of Comrade Tony Nwoye, the party’s candidate in the November 16, governorship election in the state, Chief Ossy Ezenwa and his director of Protocol counter-part, Hon. Ken Arinze, accusing them of indulging in anti-party activities during the election.

The state PDP chairman, Prince Ken Emeakayi, who announced the suspension of the duo at a media briefing in Awka last night, said the party found their statements since the governorship election at variance with the position of the State working committee (SWC) and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party on the election.

Emeakayi stated that Ezenwa and Arinze since the November 16 election, had been addressing press conferences where their statements had tainted the image of the national officers of the party, thereby bringing them to disrepute, especially those directed at the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, where Ezenwa said that Metuhwas on his own for saying that the party’s candidate in the flawed election would participate in the supplementary election on Saturday.
