It appears that some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have planned a protest in the Unites States of Americas to promote the Biafra struggle.
The scheduled march by the group is to take place in the US capital, Washington DC, according to Candy Stallworth, a former mobilization officer of the group who is now accusing IPOB members of the threatening her life.
Stallworth said she has been attacked by the group despite having fought to bring freedom to the organisation.
The group, the Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), led by Prof Ben Nwabueze condemned what it described as the humiliation and attendant killings of people in the region by the army.
The Nation reports that the Igbo leaders in a communique signed by Nwabueze after a meeting in Enugu, on Monday, October 9, also called for a similar military exercise in the Niger Delta region, code named, Operation Crocodile Smile to be stopped.
The group faulted the proscription of Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organisation, adding that the proscription was not backed by the extant national and international laws.
The ILT advocated for the drafting of a new constitution anchored on true federalism and regional autonomy affirmed through a referendum.
Mohammed made this comment while speaking with the Sun, saying the Igbos will be foolish to go into another war after what happened to them during the Biafra war.
The social commentator also faulted those saying northern governors spoke on behalf of the north.
