WorldStage Newsonline-- The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a new campaign to sensitize Nigerians on the importance of a clean, healthy lifestyle and environment.
The Director General of NOA, Mike Omeri said that the campaign is tagged: ``Do the Right Thing: Avoid Dirt, Be Clean’’was coming in view of the challenges posed by climate change to individuals and the environment.
Omeri said the ``Do the Right Thing: Avoid Dirt, Be Clean” campaign was to inculcate the value of cleanliness, proper waste disposal and sanitation in the citizens.
"As you are aware, the flooding of 2012, which affected several communities in our country, brought to the fore the dangers of improper waste disposal and blocking of water ways.”
He said that NOA was partnering with agencies like National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), National Environmental Standard and Regulatory Agency (NESREA), Ecological Fund Office of the Presidency, Oskanag Nigeria Ltd. and Innoson Industrial Ltd.
