Nigerian Navy effects major shake-up, redeploys 30 Rear Admirals

The Nigerian Navy has announced a major shake up in its various Commands positions with the redeployment of 30 Rear Admirals.

A statement signed by the Acting Director of Naval Information, Nigerian Navy Headquarters, Abuja, Captain Suleman Dahun, added that said three new Flag Officers Commanding (FOCs) have been appointed.

They new FOCs are Rear Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade for the Logistics Command, Oghara, Delta state, Rear Admiral Matthew Emuekpere for the Eastern Naval Command, Calabar, Cross River State and Rear Admiral Saleh Usman for the Naval Command, Yenogoa, Bayelsa state.

The 27 others are Rear Admiral Begroy Ibe-Enwo, is the new Chief of Naval Transformation.

Rear Admiral Victor Adedipe was appointed Director of Plans at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja while Rear Admiral Peter Onaji is taking over as the Chief of Naval Safety and Standards at the Naval Headquarters and Rear Admiral Dogara Albehu is now the Director of Training at the Defence Headquarters.

Rear Admiral Micheal Ebe was appointed the Director of Plans, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Aliyu Lawal is taking over as Director Equipment Standardization and Harmonization, Defence Headquarters, Rear Admiral Uchenna Onyia is now the Director of Administration at the Naval Headquarters and Rear Admiral David Adeniran is reappointed the Commander Naval Drafting, Apapa, Lagos.

Others affected are Rear Admiral Tanko Dakwat is Admiral Superintendent Naval Ordinance Depot, Lagos, Rear Admiral Ahamefule Eluwa was reappointed Moderator at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru and Rear Admiral Dolapo Kolawole is taking over as the Director of Policy at the Naval Headquarters.

Rear Admiral Mike Okonkwo is now the Chief Staff Officer at the Logistics Command Headquarters, Oghara, Delta State, Rear Admiral Shuwa Mohammed is moving to the Naval Headquarters as the new Director of Armament Supplies while Rear Admiral Segun Adebari is the new Group Managing Director at the Navy Holding Limited, Abuja.

Rear Admiral Abubakar Al-Hassan is now the Director of Transformation at the Defence Headquarters, Rear Admiral Obed Ngalabak is the Admiral Superintendent Naval Doctrine and Assessment Centre, Lagos and Rear Admiral Abraham Adaji is reappointed Director of Operations at the Naval Headquarters.

Rear Admiral Jatau Luka is the new Chief Staff Officer at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters while Rear Admiral Ibikunle Olaiya is reappointed the Director of Naval Intelligence at the Naval Headquarters.

Rear Admiral Kamarudeen Lawal is the new Director of Transformation at the Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Abdullahi Adamu is the Director of Combat Policy and Tactics, Naval Headquarters, while Rear Admiral Oladele Daji was redeployed to the Western Naval Command Headquarters, Lagos as the Chief Staff Officer.

Rear Admiral Maurice Eno is taking over as Director of Research and Development at the Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Saidu Garba is now the Director of Project Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate, Naval Headquarters and Rear Admiral Barabutemegha Gbassa is now the Fleet Commander, Headquarters Eastern Fleet, Calabar.

Rear Admiral Sanusi Ibrahim was appointed the Director of Manning at the Naval Headquarters while Rear Admiral Muhammad Nagenu is taking over as the Fleet Commander, Headquarters Central Fleet, Yenagoa.
