Famous Nigerian wrestler Power Uti has reportedly been arrested in his house in Lagos following the controversial death of his wife Toyin.
Toyin Uti died on Monday morning, October 9, in Lagos for reason still unknown to anyone and instead of Power Uti to have taken her to the hospital, he was alleged to have taken the deceased to a church for spiritual help.
The deceased was said to be a 38-year-old unemployed mother of four children who has been married to Power Uti for the past ten years.
Her body has reportedly been deposited at the Isolo general hospital while her four children who are all under the ages of nine have been placed under the care of her mother.
Meanwhile, Power Uti is said to have been remanded at the Ilupeju police station where he is currently being questioned to explain the rationale that masterminded the death of his wife.
Power Uti became popular in Nigeria when he defeated Power Gun of Great Britain in 1981 in a tough wrestling contest in Lagos, but he is said to have been into missionary work for the past 15 years.
