Samsung Electronics has sold 5 million Galaxy S8s globally less than a month after launching, a figure that will likely be further boosted next month as availability expands.
The figure comes less than a month after the South Korean tech giant began the global launch, starting with South Korea, the US, and Canada on April 21, and in the UK, France, Germany, and Italy a week afterwards. Pre-orders previously exceeded 1 million in South Korea.
The well-received phones will be available in 120 countries within the month, Samsung said.
They will also launch in China, where Samsung have seen its presence dwindle for the past two years, either in late May or early June.
