Now, the title of 'most-viewed Nigerian music video on Youtube', previously held by P-Square's tribute to Michael Jackson,"Personally", has been stolen by the visual for Yemi Alade's infectious hit, "Johnny".
The video for "Johnny", which was released in March 2014, now has a total of almost 79 million views, beating out "Personally", which was released almost a year before, by over 92,000 views (and counting).
The hilarious music video follows the lying and cheating titular character, Johnny (played by Alexx Ekubo), getting exposed on a Cheaters-style show titled We Don Catch Am. It's still easily Yemi Alade's most enjoyable videos, which probably explains all the views.
Just a few months ago, with the video still hovering around 72 million views, "Johnny" was named the 'most watched video by an African woman on YouTube'. Now, let's see if this record-breaking streak will help push the video to 100 million views.
